Stampin' Up! Tickets and Tags Bag Book

Stampin' Up! Tickets and Tags Bag Book

Last week I had a couple of classes that made a mini scrapbook
using wine size paper bags.  This is the 1st in a series of post  featuring
these books.   The moment I saw the Tickets and Tags Simply Scrappin kit
from Stampin' Up! I knew I wanted to use wedding pictures
from my son and daughter in laws wedding that was held at the
Contemporary Art Center, in Cincinnati, Ohio.

This simply scrappin kit helped this book coordinate with
their wedding pictures and the venue, as you can see it was the perfect
fit with their beautiful wedding. (Ok I might be bias, I'm one of the mom's)
Because I didn't have room for the more than 500 pictures I took that weekend
the open ends of the bags were a great place to place a few more of my favorite
pictures, I made mini albums (see below) with 3-4 sheets of 4 1/4 x 6 1/2 pieces
scored at 5/8 inches of neutral card stock to add additional pictures to my book.
The 5 different sections held pictures of the bride, groom, family,
and pictures from the photo booth. This size book is wonderful for 4 x 6 pictures,
you don't need to crop many of your pictures.

Thanks for looking, Cindy

Mixed Bunch

At tonight's down line meeting our challenge was to make a card using
the Mixed Bunch stamp set and matching punch.
We had to use Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper
but could use any color of cardstock  that coordinated.
I chose Peach Parfait and Pool Party,
a color combination out of my comfort Zone.

Maggie Palko chose Poppy Parade, Peach Parfait and Natural White
Card stock, a pearl and 3 different punches to make her card pop.

Teresa Warne went with Soft Suede, Pool Party and Poppy Parade
colors for her card.  The Pool Party color  is hidden in the paper until
you bring it out with the big Pool Party flower.

Team Bat Cave meets one evening a month to share ideas,

Create your own Valentine Card 2012

Create Your Own Valentine

Saturday at my Occasions Catalog open house we had 4 make and takes.
One of the make and takes was a table to create your own Valentine Card.
I supplied the basic supplies to make a Valentine,
red or white card stock, ink and Designer Series paper,
the ladies were challenged to create a Valentine Card using those
supplies plus any embellishments or other supplies I had on hand.
Karen Porter chose to emboss "be my valentine" in white embossing powder,
use the Hearts Collection Framelits dies,
and the3/3 in  Riding Hood Red pleated satin ribbon.
I loved all of the textures Karen chose for her card.

Pam Walker, chose the Best Friends Forever, I heart hearts,
nature walk and ps Ilove you stamp sets.
Pam used Real Red and Pretty in Pink ink and the Red Glimmer paper,
don't you hope your her friend receiving this card.

I was ask to create a man Valentine for one of our Stamping friends Ginny Zellars
who couldn't join us due to a broken leg, so a few of the ladies stamping with me
at that time also chose to make their man a Valentine.
Molly Ross chose to give her heart a little bling and
a extra twill tab accent. Molly used the I {love} love jumbo roller
and the heart from the p.s. I Love You stamp set
Donna Snider added a second heart with a woodtone look,
one was from the I heart heart set and a custom heart using the
woodgrain background stamp and the full heart punch

My card was made using the leftovers on the table when everyone was finished,
I sent the original to Ginny to assemble for her husband, I'm sure
she is happy to have some stamping creative time.

The ladies also got to make a Valentine treat using the 1x8 treat bags
filled with candy or pencils.  We also used one of two tags dies folded
in half and a heart from the p.s. I Love You stamp set with a accent heart
using the red glimmer paper.

The open house door prize winner is-
Teresa Warne
Thanks ladies we had a fun relaxing day, I think we will do a create your own
card again in the future I enjoyed seeing your creativity at work.
