August Technique classes 2010

Hello everyone,

Technique classes this month we are going learn to use builder wheels to make a birthday card and make the 3 cards I made for convention swaps.  I can't wait to see you at class this week.

We are going to tackle (football is in the air) builder wheels, you will make a birthday card like the one above.  I know these colors are way out of my color comfort zone, but I really did like the way this card turned out.  Thanks to Emila ( one of new downline ladies) you will be able to get happy birthday where you want it, not the appy Birthday Cindy was getting on her 1st attempts.

This is one of my swap cards from convention that we will be adding a little bling to.  We will be using the Dazzling Diamond glitter and the new awesome pearls from page 188 in  the new idea book & catalog. This is my new go to wedding card.

This is my second convention swap card we will be making, yes we get to use Smooch Spritz.
Thank goodness for the Color Catcher ( I HIGHLY recommend) because who knows which direction our smooch will want to go on class day.

This is my 3rd convention swap card,
I love the Baja Breeze, Very Vanilla and Soft Suede combination.
You will learn to make the flower in the center of this card, which gives a great textured look.

Thanks so much for looking,
 Cindy

June Technique classes

We are going to kick off Summer with a goodbye to some of our favorite Stampin' Up! products that will be retiring at the end of June.  Close to Cocoa and Kraft Cardstock are going to missed along with the star brads on the faux pinwheel card.

My pinwheel card uses the Island Oasis Designer Series Paper, to give this card a summer feel.
Thanks to Barb Mullikin for the great tutorial and  inspiration for this fun card.

The Sweet Scoops card was inspired by a combination of ideas, Connie Babbert for the fun Shaving cream technique we will be doing with this card using pretty in pink, certainly celery, soft suede reinkers to give a Neapolitan ice cream look.  Lisa Freeman's card used the wooden ice cream scoop and sundae bowl so I CASED parts from both ladies great ideas. The lighting for this picture wasn't the greatest, so I'll try again to get a better shot, so maybe my sparkle will show up better.

The easel card we will be making can easily be a Fathers Day Card or a birthday card.  We will use the King of the Grill stamp set, watercoloring techniques and retiring close to cocoa and ruby red cardstock and chocolate corduroy buttons.

The bonus card is using retiring brilliant blue and kraft cardstock and a jumbo grommet.  We will use the new July Fourth stamp set and a sneak peek.

June is bring a friend to Technique class month.
If you bring a new never been to the Bat Cave before friend
to class with you during the month of June you will get your class 1/2 off.
Please RSVP for both you and your friend.

Thanks so much Cindy

My all day Scrapbook class is Saturday May 22nd 10am to 4pm
one of the choices include 1/2 of  Simply Scrappin kit called Cool Kids.
You will make 20 6x6 pages using this kit.

These are two of the pages you can make with this kit, the real red page is your cover page and the bashful blue one is the last page.  The idea pages you will receive with your kit has 2 pages for each school year kindergarten thru 6th grade, plus pages for fun facts about your child during their school years.

These pages could be made without any stamping at all, but I chose to use these stamp sets

I put my completed pages in the Stampin' Up! red Linen ring album from page 203 IBC, as a special this month you may purchase a Linen album for $17.00 or one of the new Designer Printed Albums from the summer mini catalog for $12.00 with any of my scrapbook kits this month.
